103rd Street North St. Pete Aprons
Driveway aprons on 103rd Street North sit on the west St. Pete side of Cross Bayou, where the street is closer to Pinellas Park than to the beach. The failure is usually the first ten feet: a thin sand bed, a rolled edge, and stormwater that sits where the apron meets the gutter.
What the apron has to do
Cars turn in from a posted residential street, then the surface has to shed water toward the roadway instead of back at the garage. A pretty color does not fix a low joint at the sidewalk or a curb cut that was never rebuilt.
Excavate past the failed sand bed so the apron has room for compacted aggregate
Pitch the field toward the street, not toward the garage slab
Rebuild the curb-side edge so tires do not roll the pavers into the gutter
Lock joints after compaction so the first summer storm does not wash the sand out
How PaverForge builds it
PaverForge Hardscapes sizes the base for cars, not for a patio, and keeps the apron flush enough for a low car without creating a pond at the sidewalk. Call 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send a photo of the gutter line and the garage threshold before we walk the lot.
