109th Street North St. Pete Aprons

109th Street North sits on the west edge of St. Petersburg, toward the Lealman line. The lots are mostly single-family, the street patches are common, and the apron is where the driveway meets a gutter that already moves water.

PaverForge Hardscapes builds and re-levels driveway aprons here so the throat stays locked after summer rain, not just the week the sand is swept in.

What the apron actually has to do

The first ten feet take every tire. If that section was set on a thin sand bed, the pavers rock, the joint sand washes into the gutter, and the edge restraint walks toward the street.

We size the base for cars, not for a patio. The pitch runs to the street or to a drain that already works. The edge restraint stays buried so the field cannot creep when the soil is wet.

West-edge details we check first

Utility marks at the right-of-way. A low spot where the old concrete apron meets the paver field. Irrigation overspray that keeps the joints wet. A sidewalk joint that should not become a trip edge.

Compacted aggregate under the tire path, a restrained edge at the gutter, and joint sand that locks after compaction. If the old base was never built, we rebuild it and reuse pavers that are still sound.

How to start a 109th Street North quote

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the apron, the gutter, and the low spots. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before we lock a number.
