127th Street North St. Pete Walkways
Walkways on 127th Street North
127th Street North is far enough west in the north St. Petersburg grid that lots are a little deeper and the front walk is a longer run. That length is where a sand-set path waves, and where a night landing at the door goes dark because the old conduit was abandoned in the slab.
PaverForge rebuilds the walk on a compacted base and pulls a lighting sleeve in the same trench, before the edge restraint is pinned. The sleeve terminates in a junction box at the landing, not in a paver joint that has to be cut later. The landing itself is widened so a storm door and a package can share the same surface.
A longer walk needs a few extra decisions
Width for two people, or a single service path, decided before excavation.
Step or a gentle ramp if the door sits above the sidewalk.
Lighting sleeve and a spare pull string, closed before polymeric sand.
Planting-edge restraint so mulch does not migrate into the joints.
Drainage still rules the detail. A long walk that is dead level holds water at the door. The field is pitched to the yard, and a channel or a widened joint is used only where a downspout already dumps on the path. No claim is made that a paver walk replaces a roof or a yard drain.
