129th Street North St. Pete Courtyards
129th Street North courtyards are usually the lanai that became the outdoor room. Furniture, a grill, and a screen-cage post all land on the same field. A sand-set patio looks flat the week it is laid and ponds at the slider after the first hard rain.
Pitch, base, and the cage post
We excavate to a depth that leaves compacted aggregate under the field. Pitch runs away from the house. Screen-cage posts get a pad that does not rock when the cage loads in a storm, and the paver cut around the post stays tight enough that joint sand does not wash out.
Color is the last decision. Gulf light fades a face coat faster than a through-body concrete paver. We do not seal a dirty or wet field.
