133rd Street North St. Pete Walkways
133rd Street North entry walks often cross the low side of the lot before they reach the door. A flat paver ribbon becomes the swale. Guests step through standing water, and the joint sand leaves with it.
Cross the low spot on purpose
We set the walk above the standing-water line on compacted aggregate, with a pitch that reaches the yard outfall instead of the threshold. Edge restraint runs both sides. Where a downspout crosses the path, the pavers stop at a flush collar so the pipe stays reachable and the field does not crack around it.
Cuts at the stoop and the drive are laid out before the field is set. A last-course sliver is the piece that rocks.
