141st Street North St. Pete Courtyards | PaverForge
Courtyards on 141st Street North are usually the narrow strip between a block house and the side fence, or a small rear court that the lanai opens onto. Shade from the neighbor's oak, irrigation overspray, and a single downspout are the real design problems. A pretty border will not fix water sitting against the stem wall.
Courtyard load is not driveway load
Most of these courts see chairs, a grill, and foot traffic, not daily car tires. We still compact a real base, but we do not overbuild a street-spec section where a patio section is the right call. The pitch leaves the house, heads to a lawn inlet or the side swale that already works, and stays under the screen-door threshold.
If the existing pavers are sound and only a low corner rocks, we re-level that bay instead of tearing the field out. If the sand bed was never contained, the edge has usually crept into the planting bed and the field needs a restraint before new joint sand will stay.
What we check before we quote
Downspout discharge and whether it currently dumps on the court
Screen-door and slider thresholds so the new field does not block the track
Irrigation heads that overspray the joints
Gate swing so a thicker base does not make the gate drag
A low point that already drains, instead of inventing a pump
How to start
Call 727-490-9798 or send photos of the court, the downspout, and the gate. PaverForge Hardscapes walks 141st Street North lots from our St. Pete Beach shop and replies the same business day. More on paver installation and re-levels is on paverforge.com/services.
