147th Street North St. Pete Courtyards
Front courts on 147th Street North often sit a few inches off the sidewalk and a step below the slab. The pretty field is not the problem. The missing pitch and the open edge are.
A court that sheds
We pitch the courtyard away from the house toward the walk, a yard drain, or a low point that already leaves the lot. Bedding sand stays even so the field does not rock after the first wet week.
Edge restraint holds the border where it meets turf or a planting bed. Without it, the outside course creeps and the joints open. If an existing court was set on dirt, we pull it, rebuild the base, and reset what we can.
