148th Street North St. Pete Walkways
Entry walks on 148th Street North often cross a low side yard before they reach the door. A path that is dead level looks fine on install day and holds water at the stoop after the first hard rain.
Pitch and edge
We set the walk to fall away from the slab, with a compacted base under the full width, not a sand smear over roots. The edge stays restrained so the field does not walk sideways into the mulch.
Steps, if the lot needs them, land on their own base. A floating paver step is the piece that rocks first. Joint sand is swept and compacted so it does not wash into the planting bed.
How to start
A few photos of the door, the low side, and the sidewalk tie-in are enough for a first look. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. We typically reply the same business day.
