152nd Street North St. Pete Driveway Aprons
152nd Street North sits in north St. Petersburg, a residential block where older concrete aprons commonly crack at the gutter and the private drive. The turn-in is tight, and a trailer or boat still has to clear the sidewalk without riding the edge.
PaverForge Hardscapes replaces that strip with pavers on a compacted aggregate base. We do not set a thin sand bed over native sand and call it a driveway.
What the apron has to do
Take the turn off a narrow numbered street without the first course walking into the gutter
Use a driveway thickness, not a patio spec, where tires cross every day
Pitch toward the street so rain does not sit against the sidewalk or the slab
Keep a rigid edge at the city approach so the field does not creep
What we will not skip
The city approach is not ours to redesign. We match the existing sidewalk grade, restrain the private edge, and leave a joint that can be lifted if the gutter is rebuilt later. Color is the last decision. Base, pitch, and edge come first.
