157th Street North St. Pete Walkways
157th Street North walks are short, and they fail in the same place: the joint at the porch and the edge against the planting bed. Sandy subgrade plus a thin concrete ribbon is why the path tips.
PaverForge Hardscapes excavates that ribbon, compacts aggregate, and sets pavers so the porch stays the high point.
Spec we actually use
Compacted aggregate base, not native sand under bedding sand
Positive pitch away from the porch and the slab
Edge restraint spiked into the base, not a loose soldier course
Joint sand locked after compaction, not before the first storm
Send a photo of the porch step and the sidewalk joint. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before we lock a number.
