15th Avenue North Walkways in St. Petersburg
15th Avenue North walks do more work than a front path in a new subdivision. They carry the mail, the AC tech, the trash cart, and the hose that never quite gets reeled. The failure is usually a sunken center course and a loose edge against the planting bed.
PaverForge Hardscapes installs and resets those walks from our St. Pete Beach shop. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.
A walk is a base job
On 15th Avenue North the soil is sandy and the beds get watered hard. Bedding sand washes into the planting soil if the edge is only a plastic strip pushed in by hand. We set restraint on compacted base, pitch the walk away from the stem wall, and keep a clean joint where the walk meets the driveway apron.
Steps at the porch get a landing, not a single paver balanced on the old slab. If the condenser sits in the path, we leave a service pad that can be lifted without tearing the whole run.
Typical 15th Avenue North scope
Front walks from sidewalk to porch
Side paths to the gate and meter
Re-level of cupped or drifted courses
Condenser and hose-bib pads tied into the walk
Ask any bidder how they will keep irrigation sand out of the joints. On this street that is the difference between a walk that stays tight and one that opens up by August.
