166th Street North St. Pete Walkways
Front walks on 166th Street North cross a shallow yard between the sidewalk and a low porch. After a hard rain the path is the low spot if the base was never compacted.
A walk that stays
We set a restrained edge, pitch the path so water leaves the porch, and keep the field flush with the city sidewalk so a toe does not catch. Root-aware cuts matter where oaks sit in the parkway.
Steps at the porch get a landing that does not pond. We do not bury a downspout under the walk and hope.
