180th Street North St. Pete Aprons
180th Street North aprons take a harder turn than the block to the east. The city throat is short, the sidewalk joint is the weak line, and the lot under it is fill sand.
Load at the throat
Cars brake and turn on the last four feet. That is an 80mm paver, a compacted base, and an edge that is tied, not a patio stone cut to the gutter. The pitch meets the curb without a birdbath at the sidewalk.
Before we cut
We locate the water meter and any shallow utilities. The public sidewalk stays intact unless the city approach already needs a reset.
