190th Street North St. Pete Walkways
Walkways on 190th Street North run from the drive to the front door, often beside irrigation heads and a shallow planting bed. Those paths rock when the base was never compacted and the edge was only a buried board. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds that run so it stays even under foot traffic.
Why the path rocks
A walkway is not a driveway, but it still needs a real base. Overspray from irrigation washes joint sand. Roots lift one edge. A step-down at the porch then becomes a trip line. We cut the repair to the failed run instead of tearing out a sound field.
Compacted base under the walking width, not sand over roots
Pitch that sheds toward the bed or the drive, not the porch
Edge restraint on both sides so the field cannot spread
Joint sand re-locked after the path is compacted
Match the existing field
If the house already has pavers, we match size and color as close as current stock allows and say so before we order. We do not invent a prior job on this street. A few photos of the rocking section and the porch step are enough to start.
