1st Avenue South St. Pete Paver Courtyards
1st Avenue South is the downtown-edge street just south of Central Avenue, with tighter lots, alley parking on some blocks, and courtyards that double as the only outdoor room. The old pads are often brick-thin or a painted concrete slab that sheds toward the house.
Courtyards that drain on a flat lot
There is almost no fall to work with. We set the courtyard a fraction below the threshold, slope it to a flush channel or a side-yard emitter, and keep the base deep enough that furniture legs do not punch the bedding. Alley-loaded parking pads get an 80 mm unit and a pinned edge, because delivery trucks use the same strip.
Historic-adjacent blocks may have a review step before a street-facing material change. We photograph the existing surface and match color so the packet is a repair, not a new facade.
