202nd Street North St. Pete Walkways
Walkways on 202nd Street North often run from the driveway to a side door across a yard that holds water. The path looks simple until the irrigation head and the bed edge start stealing joint sand.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds these walks so the path stays above the wet lawn and the edge does not wander into the mulch.
What the walk needs
A base that stays above the seasonal wet line of the side yard
A sleeve for irrigation or low-voltage lighting before the pavers lock
Edge restraint that does not rely on the mulch bed to hold the field
A landing at the door that pitches away from the threshold
How we run the path
We stake the walk, sleeve what has to cross it, and compact the base before the first course. The door landing is kept lower than the threshold and higher than the lawn so water has somewhere to go.
