228th Street North St. Pete Aprons
Driveway aprons on 228th Street North in St. Petersburg often take a wider turn, a boat trailer, or a second car. The street joint is the weak point if the base stops short of the gutter.
PaverForge sets the apron on compacted aggregate, not on the sand that washed in from the last regrade.
Apron details
The gutter joint stays flush. A raised lip throws water back at the sidewalk and catches a trailer tire.
Edge restraint is pinned outside the tire path. An unrestrained border walks toward the street in the first hot season.
Pitch leaves the garage. We do not crown the apron so water sits in both tire paths.
