240th Street North St. Pete Aprons
Aprons on 240th Street North in St. Petersburg settle at the garage lip when the base was patio-depth under a turning car.
The apron takes the brake and the turn, not foot traffic. A field that was detailed like a patio will rut in the tire track and leave a lip at the garage slab.
Base, then the joint
Compacted base has to run under the whole apron, including the course that meets the sidewalk. The garage joint gets a clean transition, not a sand wedge that washes out.
If the existing stones are still sound, a re-lay on a real base is the job. If they are cracked at the turn, they come out.
PaverForge Hardscapes installs and re-levels those aprons from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
