27th Street NE Old Northeast courtyards
Courtyards on 27th Street NE under the oaks
27th Street NE in Old Northeast is a courtyard street more than a wide-drive street. Houses sit close, live oaks shade the side court, and the paver field between the kitchen door and the garage is where chairs, bins, and a second car all land. PaverForge Hardscapes installs and re-levels those courts so they do not cup after the first rainy month.
Shade keeps the field damp. Roots lift a corner. A hose bib dumps water in the same low spot every evening. A pretty border will not fix that. We size the base for the load that actually uses the court, pitch water to a working low point or a drain, and restrain the edge so the field does not creep toward the house stucco.
What a 27th Street court usually needs
Compacted aggregate, not a skim of sand over roots. Joint sand that locks after compaction. A border that can be lifted later if a root has to be cut, instead of a mortared edge that cracks with the tree. Where the court meets a wood stair or a screened porch, we hold the pavers off the wood so splash does not sit in the skirt.
Call 727-490-9798. Photos of the court, the downspout, and the garage door are enough to start. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before a number. Same crew as our St. Pete Beach patio work, at paverforge.com/services.
Old Northeast access is tighter than a mainland subdivision. We plan haul-off and material drops for a narrow side yard so the neighbor's hedge is not the staging area.
