307th Street North Palm Harbor Walkways
307th Street North in Palm Harbor is a front-walk street: a short path from the sidewalk to a porch, a mailbox, and often a branch to the side gate. The old concrete is usually the original pour, cracked at the expansion joint.
Porch is the high point
A walk set flat to the porch sends water at the door. We set the field so the porch stays high and the sidewalk or the yard drain takes the storm. Steps, if they are needed, are a real rise, not a paver ramp that ponds.
Mailbox posts and irrigation valves sit in this strip. We work around them or reset the post on a small pad so the field does not rock the box. Edge restraint keeps the first course out of the mulch.
Base, not a cap
Capping the cracked walk copies the settlement. We remove the failed concrete, compact aggregate in lifts, and lock the joints after the field is set. A walk that never sees a car can be a patio thickness. The apron is a different job.
