318th Street North Palm Harbor Driveway Aprons

318th Street North aprons in Palm Harbor meet a county sidewalk and a shallow swale that holds water after a gulf-side rain.

The garage slab on these mid-century lots was often poured higher than the street. The apron is the transition. A sand-set field that has walked toward the road leaves a tire drop and a pond at the sidewalk joint.

Rebuilding an 318th Street North apron

We cut a clean line at the sidewalk, excavate to a compacted aggregate base, and set 80mm pavers in a herringbone where the tires turn. The edge restraint is spiked into the base, not into the loose shoulder.

A sidewalk grind from a prior trip-hazard repair can leave the concrete proud of the old pavers. Matching that new elevation is part of the apron, not an afterthought.

Locates come first. Cable, irrigation, and an occasional gas service cross these short throats.
