350th Street North Palm Harbor Driveway Aprons
350th Street North sits in the Palm Harbor grid, where the apron is the piece of the driveway that takes the turn out of the street. Those aprons fail first. The tire path dishes, joint sand washes toward the gutter, and the edge restraint creeps after a wet summer.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds and re-levels driveway aprons on 350th Street North from our St. Pete Beach shop. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.
What the apron has to do
The apron is not a patio. It takes a turning load, a trailer tongue if the house keeps a boat, and the first sheet of stormwater off the street. Sand alone under that load will rut. We size a compacted aggregate base for cars, pitch the field toward the gutter or a drain that already works, and set edge restraint that stays put when the soil is wet.
Compacted base under the tire path, not a skim of sand
Pitch that leaves the street and does not pond against the sidewalk
Edge restraint tied into the apron, not a strip that walks out
Joint sand locked after compaction, then left alone through the first storms
Send photos of the apron, the gutter line, and any low spot that holds water. We walk the lot before we lock a number. We also cover Ozona, Crystal Beach, and the rest of north Pinellas from the same crew.
