354th Street North Palm Harbor Driveway Aprons
354th Street North is the same north Pinellas grid, but the apron call is usually different. The field meets a rolled curb or a shallow swale, and the last crew feathered pavers into the asphalt until a lip formed. That lip becomes the puddle, and the puddle becomes the place the joint sand leaves.
PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds driveway aprons on 354th Street North from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.
Matching the curb without a lip
We cut the failed apron back to sound base, compact aggregate sized for the turn out of the street, and set the last course so water crosses into the gutter instead of sitting on the lip. If a boat trailer swings wide here, the edge restraint has to take that side load. A patio-depth bed will show it by the next wet season.
Failed lip removed instead of skimmed over
Base compacted for the turning path, not only the center
Last course set to the curb or swale, not above it
Edge restraint that holds a trailer swing
A short video of the car leaving the street is useful. It shows the line the tires actually take.
