368th Street North Palm Harbor Driveway Aprons
368th Street North in Palm Harbor is a short north-county run from our St. Pete Beach shop, and the apron is usually the first thing that fails. The street cut sits a little low, irrigation from the right-of-way throws water across the throat, and a thin sand bed lets the first two courses rock after a wet summer.
What the apron actually needs
We excavate the throat, not just the first row. Compacted aggregate goes in deep enough for a turning car, the pitch falls to the street without ponding at the sidewalk joint, and edge restraint is pinned so the border does not creep toward the asphalt. Joint sand is locked after compaction, not broomed in and left to the next storm.
If the existing stones are still sound we re-level them. If the face is spalled or the pattern was cut short of the right-of-way, a new apron tied into the driveway is the cleaner fix.
