On 378th Street North the apron usually fails at two lines: the garage joint and the sidewalk or street edge. Cars dish the middle once the base has washed out.
Replacement, not a skim
A color coat on a cracked slab will not hold. We remove the failed apron, proof-roll the subgrade, and rebuild with compacted crushed concrete, edge restraint pinned outside the tire path, and 80 mm pavers. The sidewalk joint is sawn straight so the new field does not rock on a feathered edge.
Boat and work-truck bays get a thicker edge course. We mark the water meter and any shallow cable before excavation.
