400th Street North Ozona Walkways
Ozona is the old fishing village on the gulf side of Palm Harbor, low lots near St. Joseph Sound, and 400th Street North walks the same sandy shoulders as the rest of that grid.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds walkways here for foot traffic from the entry, the side gate, or the path toward a dock, not as a thin ribbon of pavers on loose sand.
What an Ozona walk has to survive
Salt air, a high water table after a king tide week, and shell that migrates into the joint are the usual trio. A walk that looks fine in January can open up by August if the base was never compacted and the edge was only a buried plastic strip with no pins.
Compacted base wider than the paver field so the shoulder does not ravel
Pitch off the walk into landscape, not into a low spot against the slab
Edge restraint that stays put when the adjacent bed is washed out
Concrete pavers in a stocked line if a later repair has to match
Start with the path, not the color
Photos of the full run, the gate, and any standing water are enough. Call 727-490-9798. We install walkways, aprons, and courtyards across Ozona, Palm Harbor, and Crystal Beach from the same crew.
