43rd Street NE Old Northeast Aprons
43rd Street NE is the north end of this numbered grid, closer to the sandier lots that run toward Shore Acres than to the brick core of Old Northeast. Aprons here settle when the base is a few inches of sand over fill, then a street overlay leaves the private driveway high or low.
Match the approach you have
We shoot the sidewalk, the gutter, and the garage before we price the cut. The apron has to meet the public walk without a lip, and the tires have to clear the gutter without a speed bump of pavers. Pitch is to the street. The edge is restrained so the first course does not walk out when a truck turns in.
If the city later mills the street, a paver apron can be lifted and reset. A thin concrete patch cannot. That is the practical reason we use a compacted aggregate base and a field that can be opened, not a sand set that looks fine for a month.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. Send the apron from the street. We serve this northeast St. Petersburg stretch from the same crew as St. Pete Beach.
