475th Street North Palm Harbor Paver Walkways
The front walk is the piece guests use and the piece that shows in a listing photo. On 475th Street North the walk often jumps from a mailbox pad to a short stoop, with a landscape bed on one side and the driveway on the other. A loose gravel path tracks into the house. A concrete walk cracks at the driveway joint.
Layout
We run the walk from the public edge to the entry, wide enough for two people at the door and a single file at the mailbox if the bed is tight. Steps at the stoop are even risers. The driveway joint is flush so a car door does not open onto a lip. Irrigation heads are moved off the field before the base goes in.
Base in sandy fill
Palm Harbor front yards on these streets are often rebuilt fill. We compact in lifts and pin edge restraint into that base. A soldier course frames the field. Polymeric sand is used only after the edge is set, so it is not the thing holding the walk together. Shade from a street oak gets a slightly steeper cross-fall so the field dries.
