478th Street North Ozona Paver Walkways
478th Street North is an Ozona address in the same north Pinellas numbering, closer to the older canopy streets than to a new subdivision pad. Walkways here are narrow, often squeezed between a mailbox, an irrigation valve, and a live oak the owner will not cut.
What fails on an Ozona walk
Sand-set runners rock after the first wet season. Roots heave a single course, then the rest of the walk follows. A plastic edge disappears into the mulch and the field creeps toward the lawn. We do not bridge organic soil. We undercut it.
How we set the walk
A compacted aggregate base, a restraint that can be maintained, and a pitch that sends water to the swale instead of the porch. Utility locates come first. Older water services and irrigation sleeves are common under these short front walks. 60mm is honest on a walk that never sees a vehicle.
