489th Street North Palm Harbor Courtyard Pavers
489th Street North is a quiet Palm Harbor block in the same north-county grid, with mid-century ranches, a few two-story rebuilds, and a small courtyard between the garage and the side fence. Many of those courts were a thin sand bed under a screened lanai. Irrigation overspray and oak roots have opened the joints.
What a 489th Street North courtyard has to survive
The call is usually a heaved field at the lanai track, a plastic edge that rolled into the planting bed, or a stoop that now sits a full course above the old pavers. We undercut organic pockets, compact crushed concrete in thin lifts at workable moisture, and keep pitch off the house. A courtyard that never sees a car can be 60mm. We will not sell a patio stone as a drive.
Screen, drainage, and staging
Screen-cage tracks and downspouts decide the layout before color does. Water has to leave the court to a legal discharge, not pond at the sliding door. Interior streets here are narrow, so pallets stay on mats and one car can still park overnight. Utility locates come before the first shovel.
