490th Street North is on the Ozona side of the numbered north Pinellas grid, closer to the canal lots than the Palm Harbor avenues one block inland. Walks run from the side door to a dock gate or a mailbox, and the low joint is often the first place a summer storm sits.

Sand-set runners wander toward the fence. A plastic edge kicks out where the cart wheel crosses. The walk meets the seawall cap a half inch proud, so water sheets back to the house. We excavate to a compacted base, set a restraint, and pitch the walk to a pop-up or a swale that already has a job. 60mm is honest on a walk that never sees a vehicle.
