516th Street North Palm Harbor Paver Driveway Aprons

516th Street North in Palm Harbor still drains to a swale on a lot of blocks. The apron is where the trailer cuts the corner and where storm water wants to sit if the field was set flat to the garage.

PaverForge Hardscapes builds that throat so passenger cars and a light trailer can turn without walking the edge off, and so the swale keeps the job it already has.

What this apron has to survive

A trailer tire at the corner is a different load than a sedan in the middle of the field. We spec 80 mm units, a soldier or sailor course that can be replaced without opening the drive, and a base compacted in lifts. Pitch sends water to the swale, not back to the garage slab and not across the sidewalk as a sheet.

  • 80 mm field through the throat, not a patio thickness

  • Edge restraint that traffic cannot walk off the shoulder

  • Swale and sidewalk left in the grade they already have unless the permit says otherwise

  • Materials staged on the lot, not in the travel lane
