548th Street North Palm Harbor Paver Driveway Aprons
548th Street North sits in the Palm Harbor grid west of Alternate 19, where shell drives, oak roots, and a shallow swale meet the public edge. A pretty apron that ignores that edge fails in the first wet season.
What the apron has to do
The apron is the transition from your private drive to the sidewalk or swale the county still owns. On these lots the garage slab is often higher than the roadside grass. If the field is set flat to the garage, water sheets onto the sidewalk or ponds at the throat.
We set the pitch to the existing drainage, not to a photo of a level paver field. Soldier course or a concrete restraint holds the first row where trailer tires cut the corner. The travel lane is 80mm. A 60mm patio stone will dish under a boat trailer.
What we check before color
Utility locates come first. Palm Harbor frontage is dense with irrigation sleeves, fiber, and older laterals that were bored shallow. We also mark the sidewalk joint so the new apron does not hump the public walk. Edge restraint is a real edge, not plastic that traffic walks off the shoulder.
