573rd Street North Crystal Beach Courtyard Pavers
573rd Street North in Crystal Beach puts a courtyard between the house, the oaks, and a short run to the street. Afternoon cells sit on shell and fine sand. A pretty color on a thin bed pumps the first summer.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those courtyards from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
What the courtyard has to do
The field has to drain away from the slab, clear the oak roots without cutting them blind, and stay even where a hose and a cart cross it. A soldier border that lifts later is better than a mortared edge that cracks when a root heaves.
We size the aggregate for foot traffic and the occasional cart, not for a driveway load unless tires actually cross the court. Joint sand locks after compaction. A seal on a dirty or wet field only traps the problem.
Salt air fades a painted face faster than a through-body color. We talk sealing only after the joints have settled.
