57th Street North St. Pete Aprons
Apron pavers on 57th Street North in St. Petersburg: a short fall to the gutter, a street joint that moves, and a base that has to hold a second car.
The numbered north-south streets west of Crescent Lake sit on a short fall to the gutter, with oak shade and a second-car apron that was often set on sand. PaverForge Hardscapes installs and re-levels pavers on these north St. Pete lots from our St. Pete Beach shop, so the field stays locked after the wet season.
What these lots actually need
A pretty paver color will not fix a thin sand bed. We size the base for the load, pitch the surface away from the house or toward a gutter that already works, and restrain the edge so the field does not creep.
Compacted aggregate base sized for cars if it is an apron, not a patio spec under tires
Positive drainage toward the street, a drain line, or a low point that already works
Edge restraint that stays in place through heat and summer rain
Joint sand that locks after compaction instead of washing out in the first storm
Repair or rebuild
If the base was never built, we rebuild it and reuse what we can. If the field only settled at the street cut or the lanai corner, a re-lay on a corrected base is often enough. Access on these numbered streets is usually easier than a barrier-island cottage, which can lower haul-off time.
