602nd Street North Crystal Beach Paver Driveway Aprons
602nd Street North sits in the Crystal Beach grid north of Ozona, where lots are sandy, oaks are old, and the apron meets a county shoulder rather than a quiet cul-de-sac.
What the apron has to do
The throat takes the turn off the street, crosses a sidewalk or a soft shoulder, and lands at a garage slab that is often higher than the old concrete ribbon. A field set flat to the slab ponds at the door or sheets toward the neighbor.
We locate utilities first. Fiber and irrigation sleeves sit close to the right-of-way on these north Pinellas streets. Then we undercut organic pockets, compact crushed concrete in thin lifts, and set an 80 mm driveway paver on that base.
Edge and pitch
Pitch runs to the working low point at the street, about two percent off the slab, never back toward the stoop. Edge restraint is a pinned concrete or metal restraint, not plastic that the first summer storm walks off the shoulder.
PaverForge Hardscapes is based in St. Pete Beach and builds Crystal Beach aprons from the same crew. Call 727-490-9798 or book at paverforge.com/book-online. Send a photo of the apron and the garage threshold.
