607th Street North in Ozona is a short residential block where the front walk shares shade with live oaks and a mailbox at the soft shoulder.
Roots, sleeves, and a narrow field
Irrigation laterals and a fiber sleeve often cross the walk near the street. We locate them before excavation. Roots that heave the old concrete get a bridging detail or a reroute of the walk, not a sand bed poured over the flare.
The field stays narrow enough to leave a maintenance strip at the planting bed. Compacted aggregate, a real edge, and a cross-pitch to the yard keep the joints from washing toward the door.
