621st Street North Crystal Beach Courtyard Pavers
A court that never sees a car still fails
On 621st Street North the typical court is the pocket between a carport and a side door, under oak shade, with a hose bib that drips all summer.
Sand blows in off the street. Irrigation overspray keeps the joints damp. A flat field holds that water against the stem wall.
What we set
Sixty-millimeter patio units are honest here if no vehicle crosses the court. The base is still compacted in lifts, not a sand skim over native soil. Pitch leaves the house and the door threshold.
Hose bibs and irrigation boxes sit flush so a mower does not catch a lid. Edge restraint is a real edge, not plastic that shade and moisture will walk out in a season.
