625th Street North Ozona Paver Walkways
Oaks and the mailbox cluster
625th Street North in Ozona puts the walk under a live-oak canopy and ends it at a mailbox cluster that the carrier and the golf cart both cut. The same corner course takes that turn every day.
A sand bed over roots will heave by the second summer. Joints open, and the low end ponds where the path meets the street.
What the path needs
We bridge or undercut the root line instead of shaving it, compact base where the soil will take it, and use a replaceable edge course at the mailbox so one broken unit is not a full relay.
Low-voltage path lights get a sleeve now, not a saw cut next year. Pitch is a small fall to the swale, not a flat field that looks level in a photo.
