The street side settles where the original base stopped short of the sidewalk. The house side settles where irrigation overspray keeps the joints wet. Neither problem is fixed by a fresh layer of sand on top. We lift the failed courses, replace pumped fines with compacted base, and reset the field to the existing garage elevation.

Reuse versus replace

Concrete pavers that are intact go back down. Units with broken corners or heavy fade are swapped. If the whole field is 20 years old and the color is gone, we will say a new field is the cleaner job rather than a patchwork repair.
