646th Street North Ozona Paver Walkways
646th Street North in Ozona sits in the old village grid, with live oaks, tight side yards, and an Alt 19 haul that does not forgive a blocked lane. A walkway here fails at the roots and the gate, not at the brochure color.
What the walk has to survive
We locate the root line before the base is locked. A rigid edge that can be lifted later beats a mortar joint poured over a root that will heave. Pitch leaves the cottage, not the neighbor's bed. The gate width decides whether we cut on the lot or stage from the street.
What we will not do
We will not sell a patio paver as a cart path, and we will not shave a root to make a straight line. If the oak already owns the grade, the walk goes around it.
