68th Avenue South Pinellas Point Paver Approaches
The 68th Avenue South apron
68th Avenue South runs through Pinellas Point with the same pattern as the avenues just north of it: a city sidewalk, a short throat, and a driveway that was never restrained at the street.
The first course walks toward the gutter. Polymeric sand has washed out. After a city sidewalk repair, the paver lip no longer matches the concrete.
Restraint and pitch
We rebuild the throat, set an edge restraint, and run a soldier course so the field has something to lock against. Pitch is checked with a level so water leaves at the gutter.
If the sidewalk was ground or raised, we match that elevation instead of feathering a trip lip with a thin sand bed.
Quote photos that help
Send the apron, the sidewalk joint, and one photo from the street. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.
We also repair drives in Lakewood, Maximo, and on the barrier islands from the St. Pete Beach shop.
