69th Avenue North St. Pete Courtyard Pavers
Lots on 69th Avenue North are typical Shore Acres parcels: a front drive, a short side yard, and a courtyard or lanai that has to do the work of a backyard. The concrete pads poured with the house are usually flat, stained, and cracked at the screen-cage track. A paver courtyard is the clean replacement, but only if the water has somewhere to go.
Drainage before the field
We set the courtyard below the door threshold and above the side-yard swale, then give it a real fall to a channel drain or a pop-up emitter at the low corner. Screen-cage tracks get a soldered or sleeved joint so the paver edge does not pinch the track. Where a pool equipment pad shares the courtyard, that pad stays isolated so vibration and chemical splash do not telegraph into the walking surface.
Threshold clearance kept at the slider and the screen door
Channel drain or emitter at the low corner, not a birdbath in the middle
Edge restraint at the turf or mulch line
Color chosen to sit with the existing roof and stucco, not to fight them
