718th Street North Ozona Paver Walkways
Walkways on 718th Street North in Ozona often run from a shaded front door to a side gate, with oak roots on one edge and a downspout on the other. The path is narrow. There is rarely a place to stockpile base without blocking the only neighbor access.
What the walk has to do
We set the walk even from the threshold to the gate, then pitch the cross-slope so stormwater does not sheet into the house or pond against the fence. Roots that are lifting the field get a root barrier and a base that can be lifted later, not a thin sand bed poured over the heave.
PaverForge compacts a crushed-concrete base in lifts, pins an edge that does not scrape the wall, and uses a soldier course that can be pulled if the oak needs work. A patio-thickness stone is fine here only if cars never cross the walk. Where the path doubles as a cart route to the dock, we step up to an 80mm field.
