72nd Avenue North St. Pete Driveway Aprons
72nd Avenue North is deep enough into Shore Acres that many drives were poured when the sidewalk was lower. After sidewalk repairs, the apron is often the high point, and water sits against the garage. The fix is a new throat, not a skim coat. We cut back to sound concrete, reset the base, and build a paver apron that meets both elevations.
Apron details that matter here
The flare has to clear the mailbox and any street tree without pinching the sidewalk. Where a water meter sits in the parkway, the apron stops short of the box so the utility can still open it. Joints are swept and sealed at the edge so the first hard rain does not empty them into the gutter.
