72nd Street North St. Pete Courtyards
72nd Street North courtyards in St. Petersburg are usually the leftover rectangle between the house, a side-load garage, and a wood or aluminum fence. Shade from live oaks keeps the field damp, and a flat sand-set patio will hold water against the stem wall.
What we measure first
We set the finished elevation off the door threshold and the AC condensate line, not off the fence. The field needs a continuous pitch to a legal low point, a rigid edge so the first course does not walk into the mulch, and a border that can be lifted if an irrigation valve has to be reached. Pedestrian 60mm pavers are enough in a true courtyard. Anything that takes a golf cart or a boat trailer gets an 80mm field.
Staging matters on these blocks. The side gate is often the only path, so we do not stockpile base in the neighbor's easement. Confirm property pins before the border is set.
