76th Street North St. Pete Aprons

76th Street North aprons in St. Petersburg meet a sidewalk, a shallow swale or curb, and a garage slab that was poured decades ago. The concrete flare is often broken at the joint, and cars scrape if the new field is set proud of that lip.

The joint that fails first

We survey the public sidewalk and the garage lip before we talk color. The paver throat is set so water sheets to the street, not back to the door. Compacted crushed-concrete base, an 80mm vehicle field, and a pinned edge restraint are the spec for anything that takes daily traffic. A sand-set look with no base will dish at the tires.

If the city approach itself is broken, that is a separate repair from the private field. We flag it on the quote so the flare is not built onto a failed panel. Property pins are confirmed before the new flare is cut, so the apron does not creep onto the neighbor.
