78th Street North St. Pete Aprons
78th Street North is a north-south residential street in St. Petersburg, running through the ranch-house grid between the Fossil Park side of town and the Pinellas Park line. Most lots still have the original concrete apron: a short slab from the sidewalk cut to the garage, often poured thin over sand.
What fails on these aprons
The usual break is at the gutter lip. Afternoon storms wash bedding sand out through open joints, the slab drops on the street side, and the car scrapes on the way in. Street trees along 78th Street North also heave the sidewalk panel next to the cut, so a new apron has to meet both the city walk and the driveway, not just one of them.
How PaverForge rebuilds the apron
We cut out the failed concrete, compact a crushed-base section, and set concrete pavers with edge restraint on the garage side and a clean joint at the sidewalk. The field is pitched to the street so water does not sit against the garage slab. If the existing stones on the driveway are still sound, we re-level only the apron band instead of tearing out the whole drive.

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send a photo of the gutter cut, the low corner, and the garage threshold. We walk the lot from our St. Pete Beach shop before we lock a number. We also install patios, walkways, and re-levels across north St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, and the beaches.
