7th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Walks

7th Avenue South sits between the Grand Central District and the warehouse-arts blocks, just south of the 1st Avenue South corridor we already cover. Lots are narrow, many are alley-loaded, and a brick or concrete street is often the front edge. PaverForge Hardscapes builds entry walks, alley parking pads, and small courtyards on this stretch so the field drains and the border does not fight the public sidewalk.

Alley pads and front walks

The usual job is a rear parking pad that settled at the alley crown, or a front walk that heaved where a street tree lifted the ribbon. We set the alley pad below the alley pavement so stormwater does not sheet into the garage, and we use an 80 mm stone if a car sits there. Front walks get a soldier course and a flush joint at the sidewalk so a city grind does not leave a lip. Where the block still has historic brick, we keep the private border darker and simpler so the new work does not pretend to be the street.

Courtyards on a tight setback

Front setbacks here are short. A courtyard has to share space with a meter, a hose bib, and sometimes a package pad. We bring utility lids flush, pitch water to the alley or the parkway, and keep polymeric sand out of the meter box. Screen-porch thresholds get a heel-proof transition so the slider track is not the low point.
