84th Avenue North St. Pete Aprons
84th Avenue North is still the north St. Pete grid, with slab homes, a city curb, and drives that have been patched at the apron more than once. The new field starts at the gutter line and comes back to the garage, not the other way around.
Match the gutter, then build back
The apron is the city's transition. We match the existing gutter line, keep the flare inside the right-of-way rules for that block, and pitch the private drive so stormwater does not sit at the garage.
Apron thickness and flare set to the street condition on that block
Failed sand and broken concrete removed, not buried
Compacted aggregate continuous from the apron into the private drive
Pitch that keeps stormwater out of the garage
Why these aprons crack
A sand-only bed over bay-side soil pumps. The first course then walks toward the gutter. Edge restraint and a real base stop that. Sealer does not.
